Frequently asked questions

I've forgotten my password?

If you have forgotten your password you can reset this yourself by clicking on the Forgotten Password button. This will prompt an automated email which will provide you with a temporary password. You can then reset your password to something more memorable when you next log-in to the site. If you continue to experience problems with your password or log-in please contact intelligencecentre@swip.com and we can reset your password manually for you.

My CPD profile is not reflecting the time I have spent on the modules

When you view a module, the time spent will not be immediately reflected in your profile or CPD certificate, this will be updated overnight. Therefore you will be able to review your up to date CPD details the following business day.  If after 24 hours your profile is still not correctly updating please email intelligencecentre@swip.com

I am having difficulty viewing the videos?

All content runs within a web browser over the Internet, with all media being delivered using Adobe Flash in conjunction with Javascript. You will require Adobe Flash Player version 9 or higher  and an  Internet browser supporting Flash and Javascript (Internet Explorer 6 or higher, Firefox 1.0 or higher).

  • Sound card with attached speakers or headphones
  • Internet connection of at least 400Kbps (512Kbps recommended)
  • Hardware & operating system supporting the above (Windows XP or later, MacOS X, Linux)
  • For the best user experience we recommend the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
  • Network

In addition to standard web access (HTTP 1.0 and 1.1 over port 80 and SSL access over port 443), for the best user experience and for the ability to watch live streams additional network access is required.

All videos are streamed using Adobe Flash Video, streamed using RTMP (Real Time Messaging Protocol). In addition to direct streaming we also support streaming over alternative ports and "tunnelled" streaming.

If streaming access is not available, "progressive downloads" are used which are standard HTTP requests. If this method is used certain features will be unavailable.

How many modules are there?

During 2009 we will be launching 20 modules which are released each fortnight excluding the month of August.

I have a question about some of the information in one of the modules?

The SWIP Intelligence Centre modules have been developed by our fund managers who are experts in their field. If you have any questions about the content or would like further information please email intelligencecentre@swip.com

The quiz is displaying an answer as wrong when it is actually correct

All the questions and answers have been taken directly from the modules. If you review the relevant chapter of the module, this will confirm the correct answer. If you believe there is a fault in the quiz please contact intelligencecentre@swip.com and we will look into this for you.
